About Rev Ryn

                                                                                                          Let's Get Acquainted

I am Rev. Ryn, an ordained Priestess in the Temple of Isis Invicta, under the Temple of Isis and Isis Oasis Sanctuary in Geyserville, California, under the auspices of The Fellowship of Isis International, Clonegal Castle, Ireland.  The Fellowship and Temple worship Isis as she is in Egypt and as a world goddess.  During the Ptolemaic dynasties, the Goddess Isis moved out of Egypt and into other parts of the world.  Her temples are found from the British Isles to the Near East and from the Germanic lands (i.e., southern tribes that worshipped the Norse Gods) to sub-Saharan Africa.  This is why the Goddess Isis and the Goddess Io are considered World Goddesses.

For those states within the United States that do not recognize Pagan ordination, I am also ordained through the Universal Life Church, which believes we are all children of the same universe and deserve respect and civil rights.  Therefore, these two organizations are not in conflict.

Finally, I am Chief and Seidhr (Spiritual Leader) of the Vox Bellicus Religious Organization.  We are a family-friendly group catering to the military and Heathen (Norse) lifestyle, culture, and philosophy.  We accept people of all faiths and spiritualities.  We only have two hard and fast rules.  First, you must be willing to live according to the tenets of the culture.  Second, Frith will be observed.

Frith is a concept of meeting on common ground where all individual issues (grudges, etc.) are set aside.  There are to be no disparaging remarks, no bullying, no hate, and no discrimination of any kind for any reason, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, sex, sexual orientation, and disability.  In all of our spaces, either online or in-person, Frith will always be observed.

In between the spiritual and the secular, I work with local communities to educate and advocate for minority religions, religious rights, and understanding of their essential religious practices.  I go to schools, businesses, government departments, and other necessary places to accomplish these tasks.

On the more secular side, I have a B.A. in psychology and an M.A. in Social Science-Anthropology.  I recently left my job as an Assistant Lab Manager at the Veterans Curation Program.  Also, I am taking a sabbatical from my second Master's of Legal Studies (MLS) in Indigenous Peoples Law. I will return to complete it because the MLS will help with my work advocating with the local tribes.

I hope you will continue to join me on this journey as we work towards a better world for the next generations.  Our ancestors need us to revive the old ways of living—the ways of using only what we need.  We can learn together what that means in this modern era of plenty and famine combined. Those of us on this journey have many more and/or stronger fires to fight in the current era, if there is anything to be left for future generations.
